The
Appalachian Striper Club (ASC), in conjunction with the Clark
Hill Striper Club (CHSC), donated
several of these
Hatching Jars to the GADNR. The fertalized
eggs need to remain suspended until they hatch and these jars
enable that to happen. These hatching jars will help ensure that
the GADNR meets thier restocking goals. The need for the eggs
to remain suspended is also the reason striped bass do not re-produce
naturally in most man-made lakes -- the feeder streams/rivers
are not long enough to keep the fertilized eggs suspended long
enough to hatch.
